Welcome at "CASA LEONE" Hotel, that is inside an historic building of an venetian villa, erected in the 15th century, situated at the romantic Venetian Port of Chania. Its first owners were Venetians descending from a well known family of musicians named Leone, from whom our hotel has taken its name. |
|
During Turkish occupation it was used as residence of a pasha until Crete became an autonomous state and Casa Leone was occupied by a Greek family. In World War II it was requisitioned by the Germans and turned into one of their head quarters. After the war was over, the Greek owners of Casa Leone returned and lived there until they sold it in 1951 to our family. |

It took two whole years to complete the restoration of CASA LEONE with many difficulties and under the commands of the Archeological Service. In 1999 finally CASA LEONE began to operate as a hotel. Today we offer you 5 exclusive and capacious suites that we hope, together with our large lobby and our stylish yard, will transport you back in old times with the romantic atmosphere of the Venetian period. All suites are additional equipped with each modern comfort like air-condition, heating, WC & shower, TV, fridge with mini-bar, hair-dryer, safe-box and Wi-Fi-internet-access. |
