MARIKA Apartments nestles on a ridge at the edge of the rural village of Exopolis, just 3 kilometres above from the popular resort of Georgioupolis. The 9 air-conditioned studios and apartments are perfectly placed with views of the mountains or sea, all leading to the pool area which has a magnificient panoramic view of the White Mountains as far as Rethymno. The 5 studios and 4 apartments ( 2 rooms) are spacious, can accomodate 2 - 5 people, with large bathrooms, cupboards, an equipped kitchenette (fridge, hotplate, etc.). Each has its own private balcony with easy access to the pool or reception area. At the small bar near the reception can be served several snacks in familar atmosphere and three tavernas are nearby in Exopolis. Exopolis is a pretty traditional village famous for its raisin production and the Exopoli road leads you to many of the picturesque villages of Apokoronas, where you can find small workshops for traditional handcrafts like weaving, embroidery and lace-making. 5 minutes down the hill is the small town of Georgioupolis, with beautiful beaches, many shops, supermarkets and an abundance of tavernas and cafés. |
